Hack Your Way into Coding and the MakerEd Movement
Amazing tools, materials, software and hardware await K-12 students in being part of the latest technological and creative educational revolution. From digital fabrication to recycled construction, teachers can bring a different kind of active learning into the classroom. This session will focus on the resources and lesson ideas needed to set up and/or maintain a Tinkerlab/Coding Club/Makerspace.

Think Outside the Box
Looking for something different and exciting in your classroom? Breakout EDU is engaging learning games for ALL ages that teaches critical thinking skills, problem-solving and teamwork based on real world challenges that ignite a passion to problem solve collaboratively. You will have the opportunity to learn more about these challenges during this session and to gain a better understanding of how these could be used in a classroom (or with staff) as a way to develop 21st Century skills and competencies. Come experience this for yourself, prior to using this with students or staff.
