Let's Get Virtual!
Explore the Virtual Reality world of learning that awaits your grades 1-12 students! Opportunities to engage them in virtual walk and talks, adventures and even creating their own virtual scenes. Participants will need to have two apps installed on a smartphone/ipod - Google Expeditions, Discovery VR.

Digital Tools to Support Literacy for Secondary Students
Language Arts teachers of teens know that balancing literacy development with identity development is a tricky task. This session will share digital tools that speak to teens desire to share and discover their passions, all while developing their metacognitive skills and making their thinking visible. The tools in this session would be applicable to any humanities teacher, and STEM teachers who are interested in making literacy a cross-curricular endeavor are more than welcome!

Create Your Own Advanced Google Forms Validations
Using Google Forms is a great time saver, but when you have to spend time reformatting data because everyone has their own way of adding phone numbers or postal code, it’s still wasting time.

In addition to reviewing the standard validation types, we’ll explore Regular Expressions which allows you to create your own validations. Time permitting, we’ll also look at a few standard functions in spreadsheets to help clean up data you can’t control (e.g. names not capitalized).
